Library Module - Getting Started Using Library Resources
Introduction
In this library module we will introduce you to a few good resources available at the Kean University Library and provide you with specific directions how to access these resources. You will be given opportunities to share your findings, evaluations, discoveries and insights. We'll also compare and contrast popular library resources with free Internet search engines, such as Google.
Note: You will still have to attend your assigned library instructional session! This session is important, because you will meet Caroline, your designated group leader who will give you a tour of the physical library, show you different channels by which you can seek assistance, and provide you with hands-on instruction for the library databases you will need to use to answer the Discussion Questions below. These same databases can also be used to find an article for your Article Critique assignment. The good news is that you do not have any required readings in this module! The Helpful Guides listed on this page are being made available to you as an online reference and can be browsed at your convenience.
